Dear Jukebox and Burner Mag

BurnerMag has selected my poem Dear Jukebox to be included in their second issue due out on December 1st.

Three photos I took of an orange flag from a window in the Metropolitan Museum of Art on a rainy day in autumn after seeing John Baldessari’s ‘Pure Beauty’ and the piece ‘Floating Color’ from 1972.

To vary between knowing and feeling is the artist’s purgatory, living in which he keeps alive by losing his life, in a brutal sense, and losing it by making ‘plays,’ objects, realities which he has to abandon to make another, and another– perfectly blank to him as soon as they are completed. -William Carlos Williams

Visited the John Baldessari: Pure Beauty show at the Met today. Truly wonderful. Worth the trip; worth the hour long wait for a taxi in the rain. Wow.
